Early Student Pickup Policy
Regular Dismissal Times
Monday–Thursday: 2:20 p.m.
Friday: 1:00 p.m.
Plan routine appointments and personal errands outside school hours whenever possible.
Pickup Process
- Notify the school office as early as possible.
- Provide student, grade, date/time, reason, adult, and contact phone.
- Wait for office confirmation.
- Pickup adult checks in, shows ID if requested, and signs out.
Appointment Documentation
For medical or dental appointments, written confirmation is due by the next school day. A provider note, appointment confirmation, visit summary, or parent statement may be accepted. Only date and approximate time are needed, not a diagnosis.
Exceptions & Attendance
Urgent needs are prioritized. Routine errands and recreation are generally not approved early-dismissal reasons. An unapproved release may be recorded as an unexcused early departure. Discuss individualized arrangements with the principal.

Families must keep authorized-pickup information current. Staff verify the pickup adult against school records and applicable custody or release restrictions. Students are called to the office after the adult checks in. The school documents unapproved departures and follows up on repeated or misleading requests as described in the full policy. A student will not automatically be punished for a parent's conduct. The policy does not prevent a parent or legal guardian from picking up their child.
